Hill Walk Mourne Mtns. Bloody Bridge, Chimney, Donard

Route Details: Bloody Bridge to Chimney Rock Mountain – Bog of Donard – Slieve Donard and return to Bloody Bridge (see graphic below)

Distance/Duration: 11Km; 5 – 5.5 hours including breaks

Height: Summit 656m and 850m (Donard); Total ascent 916m

Meeting Point: 10:00 am at Bloody Bridge, Newcastle (1 hour 35 minutes from Skerries)

Walk Start Time: 10:15am

Further Info: Moderate (but on difficult side) hill walk in the Mournes

Leaders Note:  This is a moderate walk but on the difficult end as it involves 2 peaks in the Mournes and total ascent is 916m.  Given the time of year expect low temperatures and wind chill factors with temperatures possibly below zero.  Ensure you bring warm drinks and plenty of layers.
