Walk : Ardgillan Parkrun event (walking) 

Meeting Point: In front of steps to Tea rooms at Ardgillan Castle 

Walk Start Time: 9:30

Distance: 5km

Leader’s Note: 

I will be walking the 5 km course in the role of tailwalker (so you cannot be last 😊). Parkrun welcomes walkers. Register on www.parkrun.ie if you haven’t already done so. You can select “Skerries Walking” as your “running” club when you register. Bring your printed barcode if you want your time recorded. 

This course is good preparation for those who would like to consider hillwalking but have only been walking on the flat, as the course contains some short inclines. There is always a tailwalker at the event so you will never be last 😊. There is the option of having a cuppa in the Castle Tea Rooms after the walk. 

Directions from Skerries: Car Parking available near main entrance to Ardgillan Castle HERE or near Lady Stairs on Balbriggan Road HERE. Bicycle parking available at the front of the castle. There are toilet facilities in the car park, also outside and inside the castle.
