Ramble (Easy) Dodder Walk

Meeting Point: Insomnia, The Point (opposite the Luas terminus)

Route: River Dodder from Ringsend past the Aviva Stadium, through Ballbridge, Herbert Park, Donnybrook and Bushy Park to Templeogue Village.

Leader’s Note:

The River Dodder is a really lovely walk starting in Ringsend, where the river meets the Liffey, and passing by the Aviva Stadium, Ballsbridge, a loop of Herbert Park, Donnybrook, Milltown and Dodder Valley Park/Bushy Park to Templeogue Village with a variety of wildlife to be seen along the way as well as several lovely weirs/waterfalls

We will meet at Skerries Train Station at 08.40 a.m. to catch the 08.52 a.m. train to Connolly arriving at 09.29, then hop on a Luas down to the Point. We will meet in Insomnia, The Point at 09.45 a.m. for a coffee and scone before heading off on the walk across the East Link

Bridge. Refreshments in The Morgue, Templeogue Village at the end of the walk for those who want to relax after it. Plenty of buses from there back into town (Eden Quay – beside Liberty Hall). Handy then to Tara St. for train back to Skerries.
