Ramble Skerries/Milverton/Ardgillan

Route: National Walking Day – Skerries Loop Walk
Route Details: Local loop around Skerries incl Golf Club, Milverton, Argilllan and Barnageeragh Cove.
Meeting Point/Walk Start Point: Skerries Train Station Car Park
Meeting Time: 10:55am
Walk Start Time: 11:00am
Distance/Duration: 12km approx. / 3 hours incl break

Please Text the leader by Friday 23rd September if you intend to go on the walk. A WhatsApp group will be set up for ease of communication for those coming on the walk. If you do not wish to be included in the whatsapp group please let the leader know when registering your interest on the walk. This walk is in conjunction with National Walking Day – 25th Sept. Get Ireland Walking wants to promote the power of walking which we are all familiar with! We will start and finish in Skerries train station car park, then walk towards the Golf Club, over to Milverton, onto Ardgillan Castle Park, then down to Barnageeragh Cove Beach; onto Balbriggan road then join Barnageeragh Road which leads us back to the train station. I hope you can join us and bring along your friends and family (over 18’s only). Fill in the guest waiver form here for any non members wishing to join the walk. As we will be walking on some roads please wear a hi visibility vest. We will stop half way for a lunch break so do bring some snacks. There are toilet and cafe facilities in Ardgillan. There is a little hill in Ardgillan but nothing major! This is a ramble walk.
