Ramble Skerries to Ardgillan Loop

Route: (1) Skerries Community Centre, (2) Skerries Point (Eurospar), (3) Car park nearest Ladies Stairs, loop of Ardgillan- and return to your chosen starting point.

Start time: (1) 9:30 a.m. (2) 9:50 a.m. (3) 10:10 a.m.

Meeting point: (1) Gates of Skerries Community Centre (2) Outside Eurospar, Skerries Point, (3) Carpark nearest Ladies Stairs on Balbriggan Road

Distance: (1) 12km approx. (2) 8km approx. (3) 5km approx.

Duration: (1) 2-2 ¾ hours approx. (2) 1 ½ to 2 hours approx. (3) 1 hour approx.

This walk will provide members with the choice of 3 different distances, 5km, 8km or 12km Starting at (1) 9:30 a.m. at Skerries Community Centre, we will walk along Dublin Road, then Townparks to (2) Eurospar, Skerries Point (9:50 a.m.) and then along the new road by Barnageeragh Cove/Hamilton Hill to (3) the Car park nearest Ladies stairs (10:10 a.m. ) Then we will do a loop around Ardgillan (sturdy walking shoes or hiking boots are recommended).

Important

Before the walk you will be asked to confirm:

1. a) you have not been outside the country in the last 14 days,
2. b) you have no symptoms of Covid-19 – cough, fever, shortness of breath, loss of smell/taste, c) you have not been in contact with any confirmed case of Covid-19 or have been told to self-isolate in the last 14 days.

Please ensure you pre-register with the walk leader.

Please ensure you bring face mask, hand sanitiser and gloves on walk.

Please observe 2 metre social distancing on walk.

Walk is limited to Skerries Walking Club members only.
