This is an EASY HILLWALK – NOT A RAMBLE
Leader’s Note:
Bray Head offers a delightful, varied walk. This is a very pleasant 10km walk out along the Bray to Greystones coastal cliff path above rocky coves and small promontories, followed by a high level walk via Windgates and Bray Head Summit back towards Bray and the viewpoint at the Summit Cross. There is one short steep stretch down from the Cross where walking poles would be very useful. The walk starts and finishes at Finnbees Coffee House on The Seafront. Total walk time is 3-3.5 hrs.
We will meet at Skerries Train Station to catch the 08.52 train to Pearse, then the 09.39 Rosslare Europort train to Bray arriving at 10.20. A coffee & scone in Finnbees before we head off on the walk. Refreshments and lunch then at the end in The Martello (on the seafront – 5 mins. from the train station) for those who want to relax after it. NB No sandwich required on the walk as there is no lunch ‘pit stop’ on this particular mid-week walk.
