Leader’s Note:
The walk start meeting point is just a few minutes further along the road on the right from Piers Gate Carpark which opens at 9 a.m., has toilet facilities and a coffee dock. As the mountain is quite exposed please bring extra layers, Djouce summit is breezy and can be cold. The board walk can be slippy so hiking boots essential. Bring hiking poles if you use them.

Directions from Skerries:
Take the M1, M50 (to end), M11 and N11 and continue on the N11 and take junction 8 signposted Roundwood / Kilmacanogue (you need to get into left lane BEFORE the service station). Go up the slip road and at the roundabout take the 3rd exit taking the bridge back over the motorway, at the small roundabout turn left onto R755. After approximately 11.2kms take a right turn (sign posted ‘Sally Gap’) onto R759. Stay on R759 for approximately 4.3km. You will pass the large Car Park (Piers Gate) on right, then another which has only room for about 2 cars, and then you will see our meeting point car park on a roadway which climbs up to the right.
