Ramble Dublin Camino

 Walk : Dublin Camino to Chapelizod ,return to Dublin by bus. 

Train departs Skerries @ 9.22 arr Dublin Connolly @10.00.

Meeting Time: 10.30am at GPO Dublin

We walk through Dublin City and pass or stop# at

Trinity College#

Merrion Square,

Government Buildings,

St Stephens Green#

Iveagh Gardens,

Dublin Jewish Quarter, Coffee at Bretzel Bakery 

Whitefriar St Church for the relic of St Valentine#

Dublin Castle#

Christchurch,

Meath Street,

St Catherine’s Church,

Church of St James#

Guinness Brewery,

Harkins Bar and Restaurant at the Guinness Brewery for Lunch or a Pint#,

Museum of Modern Art/ Royal Hospital#,

Kilmainham Jail,

Memorial Garden Island Bridge#

Riverside Liffey Walk, Islandbridge to Chapelizod,

Chapelizod Village#,

Bus from Chapelizod to City Centre.

We will be passing not visiting the named places except those marked####

There are lots of loos on the trail

The lunch stop at Harkins Restaurant https://harkinsbar.ie/  is around 1 pm . We stopped here before and everyone seemed to enjoy it .This is where Brendan Behan had his last pint and lunch will be approx 45 mins. I am a one-pint man so if you settle in for the evening I will have left. They serve lovely chowder.

Depending on how many times we stop for coffee the walk be about 5 hrs and approx 18km there will be lots of interaction with public transport. If you feel tired ,cold, hungry, bored or unloved or maybe can’t walk that far you can leave or join safely any time you wish.

I reserve the right for safety or weather reasons to adjust the route on the day

Please Text the leader by night before if you intend going on the walk

Leader’s Note: No  need for sticks and gaiters just boots. We will be walking in the open pavements and in parks. Bring cash in case we have problems with slitting bills.
