SWC Club Walking Weekend – Graiguenamanagh
The Club has decided on holding another weekend of walking for all level of walker – from Ramble to Hillwalking, based in Graiguenamanagh, Co. Kilkenny.
Sat. 24 June
1. Ramble 13km/3.5hr walk along the River Barrow from Goresbridge to Graiguenamanagh (bus transfer to start of the walk).
Or
2. Hillwalk14km/4-5hr Knockroe (542m) and Mount Leinster (793m)loop walk lead by Mary Kavanagh, Tyndall Walking Club.
Sun. 25 June
1. Ramble 15km/4.5hr walk starting with the local Barrow Boardwalk and Silaire Wood, then Graig to St. Mullins and back with lunch in St.Mullins at the Mullichain Cafe.
Or
2. Hillwalk 12km/4.5hr Brandon Hill Summit (513m) loop walk from Raheendonore Car Park B (off the L4209).
Accommodation: Waterside Guesthouse and Killvarra B&B. Dinner/B&B €99 p.p. sharing. Rooms have been block booked and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. €25 deposit required – payable to Skerries Walking Club.
